The premise is generous: roaring, stomping and knocking things over are treated as the normal business of being small, not as a problem to be solved.
Your child is named throughout as the dinosaur in question, which is the joke and also the point — the behaviour being described is theirs, and the book is on their side about it. Nothing in it asks them to stop. That is rarer in the genre than it ought to be. Hardcover.
It goes to two audiences at once. New parents get it as a piece of sympathy disguised as a gift, and children deep in the dinosaur phase get it as straightforward recognition. Both readings hold at the same time, which is why it survives a few years on the shelf rather than a few weeks.
