Which channel for what

Email is the right channel for anything that touches an order.

Use it for a spelling correction, an address change, a return, or a question about where a parcel has got to: an email leaves a written record with the order number attached, which a phone call does not. Use the phone for the questions you would rather have answered out loud — whether a title suits a particular age, which cover colour is which, or what a personalization field will actually print on the page.

Before you write

Two details make the reply faster: your order number, and the exact spelling you want printed.

Personalization is committed when the book goes to print, and production runs 2–4 business days after an order is placed, so a correction sent early can still be applied. Orders placed before 1:00 PM Eastern Time begin production the same business day.
