The story is told from the baby to her, and it notices the things she did rather than the things that happened to the baby: the extra blanket, the second helping, the way she claimed the rocking chair by the tree and nobody argued about it. Both names print inside the story. Hardcover.
That inventory of small authorities is the flattering part, and it is accurate, which is rarer. Grandmothers are usually thanked in general terms; this thanks her for specific behaviour on a specific December. Hand it over at the table, before the chair is claimed again. She will read it twice: once out loud for the room, and once later on her own.
