Start with what she is called
If she is Nana

Between those two, the difference is temperature. One reads as a record of things she has done. The other reads as a child making an enthusiastic argument. If the child is old enough to hand it over and say something, the second suits the moment better.
Occasions other than Mother's Day
Most grandmother books get bought in the first half of May and that is a shame, because it is the occasion where they compete with the most other gifts.
Grandparents Day works better, and Nana Bear is written with it in mind. A birthday works better still. And the strongest version of this gift is the one given for nothing at all — which sounds like a line, but a book that arrives in an ordinary week is harder to file alongside the annual obligations.
